Three weeks

Time is getting busy.

Last weekend we took the motorhome up the road to a semi-local campground to get it up and running for the year. This little campground is owned by an older couple who has got to be in their 90's. It's tough, cause you can tell they really can't keep care of it anymore. Butch called early in the week to tell them we were coming up on Saturday, and the woman said something about they were pretty full, but that they'd squeeze us in somehow. I thought that maybe she had been kidding with him, as the last time we were there, there was only 3 campers there including ourselves. But, we trundled up the road on Saturday morning, and up in one field as we approached the campground was a field just full of cars. Then I looked down to the campground and it was indeed full. Seems that we wandered into the Cumberland Valley Antique Tractor Associations spring weekend. It was pretty cool. We walked up and watch some "garden" tractor pulling, and walked around checking out the big flea market deal they had going on with it. Butch walked up to about 1/2 acre of tools and thought he'd gone to heaven. I was like----Step away from the tools, and keep walking!!!. But, "we" needed an axe for the motorhome so that when we have campfires he can hack up the wood. "Whatever Earl!"
We just got home this afternoon, from Richmond and the Nascar race there. Again, we sat in rain at Richmond. Someone needs to write a country song called that...."Rain in Richmond"
The race was pretty good, except a putz won. But it was cool and damp. We've been drying out all afternoon.
Next weekend is the annual Fireman's Bonanza Bash, which is just a big excuse for a bottomless beer mug and a weekend to drink. Okay, not really, but the fireman in the area have this drawing and they give away like 800,000 bucks worth of prizes. How is that possible you say, well tickets are $100. They give prizes every 5 minutes, and the crappiest prize is $1000. They give away a bunch of cars, harleys, travel trailers, and bunches of money. the big prize at the end is $100,000. I almost won $5000 bucks last year, but they were just toying with me, and called the wrong last number. We're taking the motorhome down and boondocking there for the weekend. Of course, rain is in the forecast again. Last year, they had a terrible lightning and rain storm. Cross your fingers.
The end of this month is particularly special as Butch's middle son, and his wonderful woman are finally making it official and getting married. Pig roast on June 6th for the celebration.
As usual, to damn busy for our own good.
oh, and Butch's laid off weeks continue off and on. I've been lucky, so far, and still have my job.

Somebody please buy a crane on a mack truck!!!
